Operation Sindoor

Science News: India's defence prowess has once again stunned the world - Operation Sindoor being the most recent example. Not only did the Indian Army's bold strategy play a key role in this military operation, but ISRO's technological prowess from space also made it a phenomenal success. This was the moment when science and security went hand in hand and the enemy's 'eyes' were shut.

ISRO's eyes: From sky to ground accuracy

ISRO Chairman V. Narayanan recently revealed that at least 10 satellites are deployed to protect the country 24x7. They are not just limited to maritime borders, but also keep a close watch on the sensitive borders of India-Pak, China and the Northeast. During Operation Sindoor, these satellites gave the army live and high-resolution information of enemy activities, movements and locations.

From War Room to Mission: Target destroyed in 23 minutes

The Indian Air Force destroyed the target in just 23 minutes - that too without crossing the LoC. This was no ordinary attack, but a wonderful amalgamation of accuracy, secrecy and technology. ISRO satellites identified the enemy's defense system, radar, missile base and strategic infrastructure in advance. This completely halted the enemy's ability to respond.

RISAT: An eye to see through the clouds

RISAT i.e. Radar Imaging Satellite is equipped with Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) technology. It sends clear images even in clouds, fog and darkness. It is capable of monitoring day and night and in all weather conditions. Border activities, terrorist movements and identification of launch pads - it told all this to the army before the operation.

Cartosat: Enemy map in 3D

Cartosat satellites are experts in high-resolution optical imaging. Its 3D mapping capability identified enemy hideouts, bunkers and even runways. Mission planning, access points and safe exit routes were based on its maps.

When technology became a 'weapon'

Operation Sindoor was not just a counter-attack, but also a declaration of India being a self-reliant and technologically strong nation. The systems built by ISRO proved that India no longer needs any foreign eyes - we have our own eyes in the sky.

A new era of science and military

Operation Sindoor made it clear that when military and science are united, every trick of the enemy fails. Satellites like ISRO's RISAT and Cartosat have now become an integral part of India's security. And this is India's new strategy - precise, quiet, but destructive.

This mission was not only a military success, but it also became a symbol of India's scientific self-confidence. Operation Sindoor has started the Indian era of satellite warfare.
